Inside the Ekinex ERA Catalogue: Finishes for Every Architecture
Ekinex's ERA series is the most expressive luxury keypad in the KNX ecosystem. Hadara has specified it in well over a hundred villas now, and each time we are surprised by the range of finishes our clients land on. This is a brief tour of what is possible.
Walnut and Oak
The wood finishes are quietly the most popular. Walnut, in particular, sits beautifully against marble, brushed brass, and warm-toned interiors. Oak is a lighter sibling — ideal for Mediterranean and coastal residences.
Brushed Metal
Brushed bronze, aged brass, and brushed steel for clients who want the keypad to recede into the wall plate without disappearing entirely. The metal warms over time — like the rest of the architectural metal in the home.
Matte Black and Stone
For minimalist interiors, the matte-black and natural-stone variants of ERA disappear entirely from the eye. They become tactile, not visual — felt with the fingertip before they are seen.
Custom Combinations
Ekinex allows the frame and the keypad surface to be combined independently. A walnut frame with a brushed-bronze key. A glass frame with stone. Hadara typically samples three to five combinations on site, against the actual room finishes, before specifying.
The Engineering Underneath
All of this design choice sits on top of the same KNX intelligence. Every ERA keypad supports the full Ekinex pushbutton firmware — scenes, dimming, climate setpoints, intercom answer. Beauty without compromise on capability.
